This week I have had moments of utter exhaustion.

Moments when I thought twice about whether to lift my hand to my head or not.

Moments when it felt as if all the banks of ATP in my body had gone bankrupt and locked themselves in, much to the dismay of their bewildered customers.

I remember speaking to a Christian friend of mine, years ago, who was battling same-sex attraction, who told me he was so exhausted he couldn’t lift his phone to his face. He feared it might be HIV. I just quietly assumed it was a melodramatic “gay” thing and carried on living in 5th gear. Little did I know, years later, I would find out what he meant.
